What are Telegram Notifications?

Telegram Notifications let you receive Visualping change alerts directly in a Telegram chat. Whenever a monitored page triggers an alert, Visualping sends a message to your connected Telegram account — giving you real-time updates without relying on email.

Telegram is available as a notification channel for all Visualping users, alongside email, Slack, and webhooks.


Before you begin

You will need:

  • A Telegram account — download the Telegram app at telegram.org and create an account, if you don't have one.

  • The Telegram app installed on your phone or desktop, or access to Telegram Web.


How to connect Telegram to Visualping

Step 1:

Open your Notification Settings

On the device that you want to receive the Telegram notifications, log in to Visualping and navigate to a monitor's Settings > Notifications.

Step 2:

Find the Telegram section

Scroll to the Telegram section and click Connect.

Step 3:

Start the Visualping bot in Telegram

A link to the Visualping Telegram bot will appear. Click it to open Telegram, then press Start in the bot chat. This authorizes Visualping to send messages to your Telegram account.

Note: The bot link is unique to your account. Do not share it with others.

Step 4:

Confirm the connection

Return to Visualping. The Telegram section will update to show your Telegram account as connected. You will also receive a confirmation message from the bot in Telegram.


Managing Telegram notifications

Once connected, Visualping will send a Telegram message each time a monitored page triggers an alert. The message includes the monitor name, the URL, and a link to view the detected change in your dashboard.

To control which monitors send Telegram alerts:

  1. Open the monitor's Settings.

  2. Go to the Notifications tab.

  3. Enable or disable Telegram for that monitor.

To disconnect Telegram, return to Settings > Notifications and click Disconnect in the Telegram section.


Frequently Asked Questions

Which plans support Telegram notifications?

Telegram notifications are available to all Visualping users on any plan.

Can I send notifications to a Telegram group or channel?

Currently, Telegram notifications are sent to your personal Telegram chat with the Visualping bot. Group and channel support may be added in a future update.

I'm not receiving Telegram notifications — what should I check?

  1. Confirm Telegram is connected under Settings > Notifications.

  2. Open the Visualping bot chat in Telegram and make sure you haven't blocked or muted it.

  3. Check that Telegram is enabled for the specific monitor under its Notifications settings.

  4. Verify the monitor is active and has detected a change — notifications are only sent when an alert is triggered.

Can I use Telegram alongside email or Slack?

Yes. You can enable multiple notification channels for the same monitor. Telegram, email, Slack, and webhooks can all be active at the same time.
